This day, 8 years ago was one of fear and after 2 previous investigatory checks I finally drove the Turley Green Byway in #Shropshire.

The lane opposite it had a railway sleeper that the Duster literally sat on and had to rock itself over the edge to continue on!

Sorry, I was meant to be adding more snippets from the hand book but after near biblical rain last night, I've never ever seen that much water ever!

I had a problem, a big one, I was on my Peugeot scooter and successfully managed to get through some of the floods only to hit a flood in a place that I've never seen flood before at roughly 35mph (my view of it was obscured)

Boom! The scooters dead.

After multiple attempts to get it started the battery flattened. Many people stopped on this pitch black road and asked if I needed help but I didn't see anything they could do. One guy offered to jump start it and we did but again nothing so walking was the only thing to do, 3.5 miles and a walk up the biggest hill in my town.

After waking through floods and raw sewage spilling out of the manhole cover and an incremental metre by metre walk I finally got the bike home.

What a 💩 night especially as I'm suffering from man flu! 🤬

Hell yes! I have full confidence that this Duster will do as expected and survive the places I go,

And if you've been following since 2015 I've been doing it hard and rough since then and all of my Dusters have mechanically been perfect.

In 2018 when the newer Duster came out, we looked in horror at the ad blue sensor attached to the exhaust. Companies made a killing selling protection for it, I didn't get it and it's still attached to the exhaust!

I have utter faith in this Duster, and it's only because of legislation etc that the Duster is no longer diesel and has to have these wealth of safety features.

The only real problem I see, is y'all probably going to get one before me 🤬

Another cool feature of the new Duster is adaptive cruise control, I use it allot at work in our coaches.

Set the cruise control up and it'll speed up and slow down based on what it's in front of it, keeping an equal distance.

You can have just normal cruise control but on my current duster I had to drop it up or down by a couple of MPH to keep a safe distance, now when I get the new Duster I won't need to do that at all!

Another useful feature of The #allnewduster relates to the cameras.

It was discovered by chance and I didn't get a picture unfortunately.

The camera system is the same, one at the front and one at the back and two in the mirrors, if you recall when the 2018 version came out we discovered a video online where a Renault engineer essentially says that the cameras in the mirrors are designed so you can see where you're placing the wheels in off-road situations.

This works sometimes for me the other times my mirrors are knocked in or the cameras are obscured by bushes!

There were also complaints that the graphic on the rear camera was fixed where other manufacturers graphics moved to show where you're heading to if you keep your wheels at that angle.

This has been fixed! In rear camera mode you can see a fixed graphic but another graphic shows you where your heading and adjusts with the steering, it's really helpful! But not only that it also does that on the side cameras!

If you come across a boulder or hole etc you will get a blue line pop up when you move the steering wheel showing you where your going to go, I see this as useful in two ways, it'll allow you more accurate navigation around obstacles but if vegetation is obscuring your view of the wheels the line will give you a guide. Cool!

A pointless feature though is on the media screen you'll get a top down view of the car and it has sensors all around the car, on this track it was flashing mad red lines (in forward motion) along the length of the car, this is not really useful off the beaten track as it'll always be red! However I don't understand the point of it, if you can't use the mirrors to see how close you are to cars in a car park then you probably shouldn't be driving! 😂

Another cool feature I found after posting about the 'distribution of power' graphics is that you have quite a few different options for the right hand side of the display.

If you've got a medianav in your current duster and thought the 4x4 info screen was cool but you kept forgetting to put it on, don't worry because now you can have it on your dash and see your inclination and roll in realtime and the handy amber and red colouring is great to warm you when you're about to reach maximum!

On the screen to your right (the multimedia screen) and it took a while to work out what it's doing, it shows a percentage. This is the percentage of power between front and back wheels.

Ever wondered if auto is actually doing anything? The wheels will light up green to show you if they are being powered and the percentage will shift to show you by how much power which is mega cool!
